I was given this canister filter and it worked great for a while. It eventually developed a leak that turned out to be fatal. The whole filter would have needed to be replaced. I had a fun time at Home Depot picking out all the parts, and the solution has been water tight since.

Raised Garden Beds
For the last few years, my wife and I grew cucumbers and tomatoes in large planters. This year we decided to up our game and we wanted to start a larger vegetable garden. We did a lot of reading, and this is what we came up with.

Improvisation
Being flexible and having a strong improvisation muscle is key when you're a maker. That's not to say that you should just wing every project that you do, but I put forth that you need to be able to roll with the punches and keep moving no matter what.
Attic Fan Screen
Another Covid project that I tackled was making a screen to cover my attic vent fan. The fan has a screen on the outside, so that bugs couldn't get into the attic from there. The issue we were having was stink bugs flying into the fan from inside and dying.
Desk Drawer Slide Upgrade
With the Covid-19 stay at home in full swing, I've been tackling all kinds of home projects. Some new, and some lingering. This is one of those projects was to change the cheap drawer slides that came in the desk for full extension slides.

Bunkbed Ladder
A friend of my wife got a used bunk bed for her son, but it didn't come with a ladder. My assistance was offered, and a new project came across my bench.
